Cleopatra (69-August 12,30 BC) was the last reigning Pharoah, who had her sister murdered and her teen brother/husband Pharoah drowned trying to escape Julius Caesar and the Romans, for whom the Romans hated Cleopatra. She used Julius, who was the world's most powerful man at that time, to eradicate her brother/husband to claim the Egyptian throne. When Caesar died, she turned to Mark Antony to continue her rule over Egypt. At the Battle of Actium, Antony and Cleopatra's army ran to the side of Octavian, who invaded Alexandria, Egypt. Knowing that days were numbered, she allowed herself to be bit by an Egyptian cobra, thereby eventually dying.
